Long Bay By Eddie

Last Wednesday we went to Long Bay beach. Nearly all the Summerland people went. I was very excited.

We went by bus. I sat next to Sanil and Kyle. We got closer and closer until we finally got there.

When we got there we munched our morning tea. Then we warmed ourselves up because we were going to the beach.

We followed Miss Matia to the beach.

Then we saw six flags blue for Anawhata, purple for Muriwai, green for Karekare, light blue for Huia, red for Piha and yellow for Bethells. That was for our boundary.

We jumped into the water and dived in the water and faced the waves but in the middle there was a huge wave so we got knocked over " Bam!" but sadly Muriwai came so we needed to leave.

We were starving so we finished our lunch and we played. Then it was the saddest bit which is leaving but it was a brilliant day.

Soccer skills. by Isaac.

Room 20 went to the feild 1 day ago to learn soccer skills. The coaches were Maro and Chris. Room 20 went with Maro. We played Shark Atack, Cat and Mouse and Cowboys vs Indians.The most fun game for me was, Cowboys vs Indians.

Mondrian Painting

On Wednesday week 2, Room 20 did Mondrian painting. Mondrian is famous for using blocks of colour to paint.First we lined our blocks then underlined it with a vivid.

Then we chose our colors. Mr Nisbet gave us paintbrushes and paint. After Mr Nisbet put all of those things out, we started. First I put the colour red and I planned I should have 6 reds for my Mondrian painting.

Then I put 5 blues on it. On my green one, I put 3 greens and lastly yellow I put 3 also. Then Mr Nisbet taught us how to cover the sides. I tried what Mr Nisbet said. I tried one but my paintbrush was too messy so I stopped and finished my painting then washed it. I put my artwork in the sun to dry for the next day.

Zombies are Awesome by JJ

Zombie are awesome 'cos if you punch or shoot a zombie in the chest it wont die. The only way you can kill a zombie is to shoot them in the head. Facts about zombies. They have no heart.They can't grab. Their weakness is the head. If they are running shoot them in their legs.

Yoghurt By Rhiley

In the morning before the bell Room 20 ate yoghurt and bread for breakfast. We mixed fruit like
apple and pear in the yoghurt and on the bread we put butter on it.

We ate the yoghurt and the bread. The bread was my favourite thing.

Band on the Run in room 20 by Thomas

In room 20 in term one we have been doing a song called Band on the Run and each table is a band for their group.


The people in my group are Rita, Moses, Sanil and Kwanji and our group name is Cheetah Kings. The other group names are Boom, Sky of Instruments, Fireflies and Firework Bugs.

The teacher in room 20 is Mr Nisbet. He is the music teacher for Summerland. On every Friday afternoon we go to the music room.

Trip to Pt. Erin Pools by Charlize

When we were going to Pt Erin Pools we first ate our food. Then we went to the changing room to change our clothes. We were going to the pools.

The first pool I went to was the green slide.

I got on the slide.

It was fun! I played with Ashly, Mya and Monique.

We played sharks.

We were going to the spa pools.
